Ugandan Opposition Speaks Out Before Friday's Election

The revolutionary spirit continues to spread in Uganda, where President Yoweri Museveni has ruled for 25 years and is intent on adding to the total. Museveni exploits al-Qaeda and al-Shabab's threat to internally and externally buffer criticism of his consolidation of power, and he's denying any comparison to Egypt.

"We would just lock them up," he said of future protesters. "In the most humane manner possible, bang them into jails and that would be the end of the story."

Museveni's troops and personal drive form the backbone of the African Union's mission in Somalia. Just one more ruler that America cannot afford to lose.
